CAGE is working hard to engage all aspects of the community. When these connections are made, great things happen. You’ve been invited to join an organization that will represent you, keep you informed of opportunities, and be your source for relevant and timely information. We want you to be successful and we will do whatever it takes to help you accomplish this.
All you have to do is participate. Learn about your community and how helping it advance will also advance you and your family. Collaborate with us as we continue to work and plan for the future.
Each year CAGE hosts educational and recreational events, programs and workshops that empower the community and promote unity. These events range from frequent community meetings to galas and conferences that are attended by 50–300 people. Upcoming events will draw as many as 500+ in attendance.
Few community organizations consistently and positively engage large numbers of citizens in communities as CAGE. Supporting CAGE will help continue this great work.
The proposed 16,000 square feet cultural community recreation center is envisioned as a comprehensive “multi-generational” facility that offers something for people of all ages and reflects the community’s vision of high priority community and recreation spaces. The center will include a gymnasium/banquet hall, aerobic and fitness facilities, kitchen, meeting rooms and classrooms.
The facility would create recreational opportunities that would
impact the area’s high rates of obesity and enhance the health and fitness of the community. To this end, It will be a critical part of Mt. Pleasant’s efforts to improve the quality of life for the residents served.
